Camping out at the Sunburst RV Park, Harlingen, TX

One of the most interesting twists in our journey began in the mountainside village of Real de Catorce. We met a bus tour from Harlingen, TX, and started a conversation with a few retired couples on the tour, and they invited us to come and visit them in their RV park in Texas.

So we decided to take them up on the offer, and ended up setting up camp at the Sunburst RV park in Harlingen, TX.

The hospitality of Bob & Judy and Oscar & Lois, was incredible. We became their adopted grandchildren and were blessed with incredible meals (including a turkey dinner), competitive shuffleboard, great conversation, and relaxing times in the pool and hot tub. It was the perfect way to end an adventure in Mexico...
